Charter-Time Warner deal gets FCC approval

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has granted its approval to the merger of Charter Communications Inc., Time Warner Cable Inc. and Bright House Networks LLC, the regulator said in a press release Friday.
The two Charter acquisitions, totalling nearly $90 billion US, already received the blessing of the U.S. Department of Justice last month.
The FCC’s approval comes with conditions, which the regulator said would be released in detail “in the coming days.”
