Prioritize 3.5 GHz band for 5G: Telus

Telus Corp. said in a press release Friday its ongoing 5G tests have now hit 2 Gbps speeds, using 3.5 GHz spectrum.
The Vancouver-based company said in the release the tests, which took place in Edmonton, “help to demonstrate how important the 3.5 GHz spectrum is to enabling 5G networks of the future,” noting the spectrum helps cover large urban areas and indoor spaces. The announcement follows previous tests by the company using small-cell and Licensed Assisted Access (LAA) technologies.
