Quebecor announces job cuts, magazine closures

Quebecor Inc. said Wednesday it was making cuts to its media division to “maintain its lead in news and content production and keep focusing on its flagship brands.”
In a press release, the company said it was reducing its Quebecor Media Group workforce by 220 positions, or nearly eight per cent, and cutting 125 TVA Group jobs, consisting mainly of “managers, professionals and administrative support staff, in order to bring staffing levels in line with the organization's changes and reduce operating costs.”
