Jay Forbes to become MTS chief executive

Manitoba Telecom Services Inc. said Monday that Jay Forbes will replace Pierre Blouin as chief executive.
It said in a press release that Forbes will assume the role on Jan. 1, one day after Blouin retires. Blouin's pending departure was announced in August.
Forbes had most recently been CEO of Teranet, which provides electronic land-registration services. He's also been president of Ingram Micro Inc.'s Europe, Middle East and Asia division, and before that served as CEO of Aliant Inc., the predecessor to Bell Aliant.
