The Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA) announced Wednesday that it has appointed a new vice-president of communications and marketing. Andrew Addison will report to president and CEO Reynolds Mastin and “provide strategic direction, leading the development and execution of integrated marketing and communications strategies for the CMPA,” according to the association's press release. Addison was previously a consultant with FleishmanHillard, a communications company, where as associate vice-president for the company’s reputation management practice in Toronto, "he led national communications campaigns and provided strategic counsel,” the release said. Prior to that, Addison was manager of media relations at the Canadian Bankers Association, the release added.
