Jay Forbes leaving MTS

Manitoba Telecom Services Inc.'s president and CEO will leave the company following the closing of its acquisition by BCE Inc. MTS said in a press release Friday that Jay Forbes will leave after the deal closes on March 17. The $3.9 billion acquisition received final approval in February. "With the arrival of the new Bell MTS combination, the time will be right for me to move on and pursue new opportunities," Forbes said in the press release. CEO Pierre Blouin to retire from MTS

Manitoba Telecom Services Inc. said on Tuesday its chief executive officer, Pierre Blouin, will retire this year. The company said in a press release that its board of directors has started looking for a new CEO, and a new chief will likely be announced before Blouin's departure. Blouin has been CEO of MTS since 2005 after spending several years in an array of executive roles at BCE Inc.
