Nokia Corp. said Monday that it has won control of telecom-equipment maker Alcatel-Lucent SA with almost 80 per cent of the company's outstanding shares tendered in response to Nokia's acquisition offer. Nokia said in a press release that this figure was based on results published by the Autorité des Marchés Financiers, France's stock-market regulator, and that it had "declared the offer successful." Nokia Corp. said Wednesday that its shareholders have approved the company's proposed acquisition of Alcatel-Lucent SA.
