Proposed rates for wholesale HSA over FTTP are inflated: CNOC

The Competitive Network Operators of Canada (CNOC) told the CRTC that Canada’s incumbents are proposing “unconscionable” rates for aggregated wholesale high-speed access (HSA) service over fibre-to-the-premise (FTTP) that “are inflated above the just and reasonable levels” mandated in the Telecommunications Act.

Rogers request CRTC expeditiously order Bell and Telus to give it access to poles

Rogers Communications Inc. is asking the CRTC to mandate Telus Corp., BCE Inc. and its affiliates Bell MTS, Télébec, and Northwestel, to attach small cells to their poles, claiming their refusal to attach the equipment “has had, and will continue to have, a profound effect on the deployment of Rogers’ broadband network.”

Bell MTS defends service in Manitoba after CCPA study

BCE Inc. subsidiary Bell MTS has responded to a report criticizing how the telecom has operated since it was privatized in 1996. The initial study came from the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives. Bell bought the independent MTS six years ago.
