Prices for telephony, wireless, broadband and mobile Internet services have remained relatively stable since 2008, according to a new study by Wall Communications Inc.

Following a meeting of the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association (CWTA) board of directors, Inukshuk Wireless Partnership, Shaw Communications Inc. and Bruce Telecom were approved as new regular members of the association. 

Bell Canada has asked the CRTC to change the rules surrounding signing up new television customers that the company says have long favoured the cable companies. 

Although the CRTC has already issued a decision saying that cable and satellite providers cannot use "local availability" time for commercial advertisements, the commission is going ahead with a consideration of a Média de Novo Inc. application for a broadcasting licence to operate a national English-language programming undertaking that proposes to use the advertising.
