Sunco launches expansion with purchase of Zayo PBX business

Alberta IT system integrator Sunco Communication and Installation Ltd. is buying the PBX business of Zayo Group Holdings Inc., an American network provider. The sale was announced Thursday evening after the markets  closed.

Bell asks CRTC to lift regulations on satellite TV distributors

BCE Inc. asked the CRTC to lighten licensing requirements for ExpressVu, the company’s satellite TV division, and called for all satellite relay distribution undertakings (SRDUs) to be exempt from regulation because of declines in the market.

CRTC releases new broadcasting fees regulations

After months of consultations, the CRTC has issued its Broadcasting Fees Regulations for all broadcasting undertakings in Canada. The decision, released late Thursday, stems from the provisions of the Online Streaming Act.
