Telesat inks deal to use SpaceX rockets for LEO satellite launch

Telesat Holdings Inc. announced Monday that it has signed a deal with Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX) for multiple launches of satellites into Low Earth Orbit (LEO).

TekSavvy resolves access problem in Chatham Ont.

TekSavvy Solutions Inc. has settled a dispute over access to a building in Chatham Ont. The company filed a Part 1 application this summer alleging it had been trying to get into a multi dwelling unit operated by 2767456 Ontario Inc. since December 2021. Since all attempts had failed, it sought the assistance of the CRTC.

All carriers to provide TTC services by October 3: ISED

All passengers on the Toronto Transit Commission’s (TTC) subway system must have cellular connectivity, regardless of carrier, next month, announced Innovation Minister François-Philippe Champagne on Monday.

Squamish BC gets new FM station to compete with Rogers

The CRTC Friday granted an FM licence to Four Senses Entertainment Inc. to operate an FM radio station in Squamish British Columbia. It will be an Adult Album Alternative station located at 99.7 on the dial.

WildBrain animators taking part in union drive

Animators at WildBrain Ltd.’s Vancouver studios are attempting to unionize. A drive by the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) is currently underway. A union spokesman estimates that the company has anywhere from 600 to 1200 workers under contract, depending on the need.
