Telus abandons credit card surcharge

After months of controversy, Telus Corp. has cancelled its plans to implement a 1.5 per cent surcharge on clients who pay with a credit card. The western telecom announced Tuesday it was discontinuing the practice.

Rogers says Bell access to Toronto subway network not an urgent public safety concern

Quebecor and CRTC clash over “regulatory straitjacket”

Quebecor Media Inc. is asking the CRTC to remove some of the conditions of licence (COL) and reporting requirements for its subsidiary Groupe TVA Inc., calling the current framework a “regulatory straitjacket,” according to a translation of one of its French-language part 1 applications.

Bell says Rogers purposely delaying network access to Toronto subway, asks CRTC to intervene 

BCE Inc. is asking the CRTC to prohibit Rogers Communications Inc. from providing access to its customers on the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) until it enables access for all carriers, arguing Rogers is “seeking to deny or delay access for as long as possible for the majority of Canadians who have chosen another wireless carrier.”
